**April 17 is the deadline to submit RAMQ forms** GOOD NEWS Planning for Patient Assignment – Coaticook Population

If you have received a letter from the RAMQ informing you that you have been assigned to a family doctor, it is important to return the completed form to the clinic by April 17.

Please note that we verify the identity of individuals who return the form, as well as their presence on the official RAMQ mailing list, to which we have access.

If you complete a form without having received confirmation by letter and your name does not appear on this list, we will be required to contact you to inform you that you are not registered.

We therefore ask that you do not complete a form without having received confirmation from the RAMQ. Otherwise, we will unfortunately have to refuse your form.

Please also note that higher-than-usual traffic is expected at the clinic reception, particularly due to the 875 new registrations and the processing of returned forms.

Over the past few months, the community has shown us strong support, and we would like to sincerely thank you for it.

In the current context, where access to a family doctor remains a challenge for many citizens, our clinic has chosen to actively contribute to the province-wide effort to improve patient care, particularly for vulnerable individuals identified by the RAMQ who are currently without a family doctor.

Thanks to the mobilization of our medical team and a work organization focused on interprofessional collaboration, we are proud to announce a major commitment to our community. Indeed, 875 additional citizens of the MRC of Coaticook will be individually assigned to a family doctor.

This initiative is in addition to the 580 patients who were assigned a family doctor in the fall of 2025. Thus, between September 2025 and April 2026, a total of 1,455 people in our region will have been registered with a family doctor thanks to our clinic’s efforts.

At the same time, in order to further improve access to care for individuals without a family doctor, 800 consultation appointments for unattached patients will be made available over the coming year.

Behind these figures is the daily commitment of a passionate team driven by a shared mission: to meaningfully improve access to care for our population.

We would like to thank and congratulate all physicians, professionals, and clinic staff for their dedication, collaborative spirit, and ongoing commitment to advancing our organization. Their ambitious vision allows us to continue developing our clinic, particularly through investments in human resources, including the integration of professionals with diverse expertise, as well as in the expansion of our service offering.

We will continue this momentum with determination in order to contribute, at our level, to providing more accessible and better-adapted services for the citizens of the MRC of Coaticook.
